Frozen Seeds

I had a plant called mucho nacho hybrid last year that produced amazing amounts of jalapenos. I have some of the peppers frozen, do you think the seeds would germinate if I try to start them indoors?

sixshooter, I am no expert, but I believe the seeds would go ahead and germinate, I have bought several flower seeds that say to freeze the seeds before planting to help in germination, so I would assume that other seeds would be the same.

Hope this helps.

great. ill give them a shot. I don't have a ton of space so I didnt want to waste window room if they were a guaranteed bust.

the neighbor puts most of his seeds in the freezer a few days before planting.

They might grow I store my seeds in the fridge and they sprouted well. But muchos nachos are a hybrid so they might not be the same.. I have seen seeds for them at www.jungseed.com and tomato growers site.

I was going to start my seeds germinating today but I ran into a group of master gardeners from MSU at a farmers market today doing a Q and A booth and they begged and pleaded for me to wait 2 more weeks. Kind of disappointed, but glad I got the advice. shouldve asked them about this also.
