I just wanted to chime in here because I am sure I will need a lot of help along the way .
I am not the best with roses .
My Mother passed away this winter and it was her wish to have her ashes placed into a rose garden (specifically long stem) but they will not do well in Michigan .
I decided to make this arbor and surround it with climbing roses instead .
So far it is doing well . I have 2 Climbing Blasé , an Iceberg and an Americana (salmon) .
I am dedicated to the success of this . Researched soil prep. and feeding .
This picture was taken just after the Roses were put into the ground .

This entire area is all new and was put in just this spring.
I am very proud of this and hope to see many wonderful things grow.
I placed my Mothers remains here this morning along with four packs of non-climbing flower seeds along the back fence.
I know she will be happy here
