I got the flu.
I also got the flu shot , which was mandatory at the hospital I work at.
AND it's messing with my fasting blood sugar readings.... Meh...
Hoping Tamiflu is going to work wonders!

sorry you are having to go through that. They are saying that this years flu shots don't really have the right strain for the variety of flu that is most commonly going around. So a number of people have gotten the shot and still gotten the flu, because they weren't immunized against the strain they got.

Man made some chicken soup for us last night. I had some for dinner and some for lunch, and I honestly think it helped!
The hospital where I work is a VERY large hospital. Right now we are so full that there is a 50 bed TENT set up in the parking lot, AND we are currently diverting patients. I work in the OR, and we have been having to cancel cases that aren't deemed emergent due to our volume. Nearly all of our patient volume right now is flu related illness/complication.
We have had so many employees out with flu this year as well, like you said Rainbow, the strain we are all getting wasn't covered by the vaccination... The cold and flu season this year has been ridiculous.
The Tamiflu will increase my immune system overall. I'll take it!

If I had tropical humid air, I'd live outside!
Meanwhile it's 24 F and dry as a bone, here. I'm confined to my bedroom, in this glorious king sized bed
, which I have all to myself for at least 2 days
, maybe for the first time ever
, with the humidifier going full speed. It's finna rain up in here!
I got Forensic Files going on Netflix, and when I finish that, I've got the newest Karen Marie Moning book, Burned.
I gotta watch what I take these days, everything has to be approved via OB doc. I was given strict orders to rest, take the meds given, and dang near drown myself with fluids.
Speaking of... I think I'm starting to have my own gravitation pull! The cat has been attached to me for 2 days...can't shake her. Like my Nanny, she nags me every time I get up for anything. Siamese cats...sheesh.

Haha that must be why you would be described as "gravid"

...feel better soon!
Gravid | Define Gravid at Dictionary.com
dictionary.reference.com/browse/gravid
"pregnant," 1590s, from Latin gravidus "loaded; pregnant," from gravis "burdened, heavy" (see grave (adj.)). Gravidation "pregnancy" is attested from mid-15c. gravid in Medicine Expand. gravid grav·id (grÄv'Äd) adj.
