There was a cartoon in this past Sunday's paper that was garden related. It is the "Foxtrot" installment and it shows the two main child characters, one male, the other female, running out to the family vegetable garden with umbrellas and placing them on a row. The male says "You're just delaying the inevitable Paige." To which she replies "AAAAA! Water's getting on Mom's broccoli-melon seeds! Get me some paper towels! Quick!"

That one got a chuckle out of me.
