I've got 4"-8" roots out of the bottom of my cells

I have sugar snap peas growing in cells and roots coming out the bottom for almost a foot on some of them. I do bottom feed(watering from below, right). Are roots that long bad and should I stop bottom feeding them?

how big are the plants? should they have been or are they ready to transplant?

bottom watering can cause this problem because the layer between the tray and the cells stays moist and roots like that.

They just emerged. A few are about 2" but most have just germinated (if I'm using the word in the correct context) and about 1/2"
