I got too excited yesterday with the first day of a week long "heat wave" sending us into the 60's all week. I put out some of my seeds so they can get a start and should still be ok if it dips a little again. I planted:
Peas
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Lettuce
Spinach
I also found out last night that when I ordered my seeds fro park....when I ordered the butterbeans I accidentally ordered 2 1lb packs, not two regular packs. Holy cow that's a lotta beans! I thought it was a little peculiar that a box with 3 packs of seeds was so heavy!
Anybody need Fordhook 242 seeds?

I got excited this week with the warmer weather we've been having. I just got back inside from planting some Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce, Purple Mizuna, Radishes and Red Beets between the 5 new Artichoke plants I put in earlier this week. The Artichokes are spaced at 4 ft. apart and are fairly slow growing so the seeds I put in today should have a good place to grow and a bit of shade when the weather really heats up for longer production.
I did notice the weeds trying to make their appearance in my freshly hilled rows. Once things are up and running, I'll paper and mulch to put an end to that as much as possible. Till then, hoe, hoe, hoe.
