Melted snow water in a sealed container for seeds

I remember reading that snow water was good for plants! I assumd it was because there was little air disolved in the snow water! Fish live longer in cold water because it holds more oxygen than warm water. Would snow melted in a sealed bucket be good for starting seeds or watering sprouts ? This year there is plenty of snow!! My mother used to put a ice cube in her house flowers and they really grew better! I was not sure if it was the water or the slow trickle of the water!

snow is good for plants because it contains nitrogen taken up from the atmosphere. Sealed containers are never good for plants, seeds, compost... living processes are oxygen dependent.

My point of putting snow water in a sealed container was to not allow air to be disolved into the snow water.

Roots would prefer water with more air/oxygen, not less. Low oxygen is why water logged soil kills roots.
