Dwarf Lime Tree: Need To Be Potted Up?

First of all, I'm wicked excited about this tree. It has a ton of new growth & looks very healthy! It's about 3 ft tall (with pot). Do y'all think I might get a lime or two off it this year? Also, should I wait until the Fall to put it up, so I don't affect its growth this year or should I do it now? Please LMK.

Ummm Steve, you are YEARS away from limes on this tree...

I doubt it needs a transplant just yet, although the depth of the container is hard to judge. How deep is it?

Dern, I was hoping for maybe one or two wee limes this year...lol. No biggie. It's a great plant that will stay in my garden until it does produce & eventually keels over years down the road. The pot came with the tree when I ordered it last Spring. I think it's about 4 gallons...probably about 10 inches to a foot deep. about the same wide. If I need to transplant it, I will. I just don't want to affect all the beautiful new growth it has on it, ya know? Thanks for the help! You're such a Helpfull Gardener. ;-) Sorry, couldn't resist...lol...seriously though, thanks.

Looks about the same size as that 3 gallon I'd leave it this season and step it up in fall; like a 5 gallon container...

Guessing you will keep this containerized?

Yea, I imagine I'll keep it in a container. I'm not wanting to put too much in the ground until I get my own place. Just renting this townhome I'm at now. Thanks for the help. =)
