sorry, i shouldn't have. I'm not sure, they don't look like any of the 13 varieties i have growing now.

Looked a bit like a pimento to me, so did a search and came up with this which is a close match. If so should be sweet and flavorful.

well that can't be it then it looks just like them thoe they are quite hot oh well

If the plant is a volunteer, perhaps one of the pimentos crossed with a hot variety to produce your plant that looks like a pimento but is hot.

I thought pimentos were a different kind of plant and wouldn't cross with other peppers? Like watermelons won't cross with cantelopes?

I thought it looked like an ancho...
