Bonsai not looking so hot

My bonsai has been doing great up until two weeks ago. Slight mold on trunk, and tiny spiderwebs on tips of needles (juniper). This week, the spiderwebs went away but where they were located, the needles are brittle and brownish. About 1/5 of the entire plant seems affected.

I've had this bonsai since February, and it has been doing great up until the spiderwebs last week.

The bonsai is far from dead, this has only just taken hold. What do I do?

Thanks everyone,

Thysta

thysta,

At this point I have some questions for you. Can you post a few pictures. Can you describe the soil it is potted in? Is it dense and peaty or loose and organic? Where is the tree located, inside or outside?
