queen of the night

hi, this is my first post !

i have a question regarding the EPIPHYLLUM plant aka queen of the night aka orchid cactus...

i live in new york and have a balcony, was wondering if this plant will survive in ny climate ? if so, does anyone have a reliable website for me to buy the cuttings off from ?

my family had one that bloomed beautifully in southern china and we made soups with the blossoms (delicous!) does anyone know what the name of that particular species is ?

this plant brings back so many pleasant memories from my childhood, i'd really appreciate it ...

Don't have the species, but do know if you don't have a spot inside during winter it won't make it (but they do famously as house plants)...
