Lawnmower vs. Potatoes

Despite being warned against it, I successfully planted potatoes under my kid's trampoline. It worked! The stems shot up to the trampoline in about 26 days and everything was going splendidly, until the lawn guys. They mowed over the stems, or butchered them to the ground with a weed eater. Kids are devastated.

My question - what now? Will they regrow or are they worm food?

Re: Lawnmower vs. Potatoes

Potatoes are one of the few plants that will be ok if the plants are cut down. They will grow back.
