Some help with identifying a plant please

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie member to this forum, and to gardening as well! For the first time in many years I've a garden space and I hope to use it this year. I could use some help with identifying a poorly plant that I've inherited please. I've done some google searches but without being able to narrow my search parameters it's a bit hard to come up with relevant results. My hope is that if I can identify it then I'll be able to look after it better as it's really not doing well :? If there's more info needed then I'l try my best to provide it. Any help would be most appreciated,
Thanks :)

Its a lily, I can't tell what kind until it blooms. The leaves look yellow. Feed it bulb food, make sure you don't over water or put it in too much sun until it gets used to it.
Happy gardening in Hawaii. Gardens are where people grow.

because of its size, I'm thinking an Amarylis

DITTO Catgrass on Amaryllis and Imafan on bulb food. Hope you have good drainage. Bulbs are subject to rot. Slowly move your plant to a position of full sun. Give it time to acclimate. Bulbs like to be root bound so don't up-pot any time soon.

Good luck.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown

I think I have something with similar leaf structure. If I'm not wrong it could be Kaffir Lily.

Re: Some help with identifying a plant please

This is great, thanks to everyone! I've fed it now and brought it inside to dry out for a bit so I'll just have to see how it goes. After looking at some pictures it seems I do have a lily of some kind, maybe a kaffir, but I'll just have to try and get it to flower. It's already looking a little greener thanks to the advice :) My next project is to remove all the bricks, rocks, glass, pipe ends and whatever else out of the garden area and see what the soil is like. Could take a while!
