Preventing Greenhouse from Overheating

This time of year I worry about my greenhouse over heating while I'm at work and burning some of my starter plants. What does everyone do to try and stop this from happening? It's cold enough in the morning when I leave I don't like to leave the windows open. I'm looking at this WiFi sensor - https://www.absoluteautomation.com/temps ... eze-alarm/- my greenhouse is close enough to the house I think this should work.

I use automatic window openers. They are operated because the air in a gas cylinder expands when it gets hot and opens the windows. If it's going to be a sunny day I'll also leave the door ajar before going to work. They are totally passive so they work without electricity. You could buy 8 of them for the price of that wifi gizmo.

Greetings, At our desert property we recently built a small greenhouse and installed a turbine and tinted plastic.

If the greenhouse isn't shut tight, there is openings, the temperature can get quite high without bothering the plants, in fact they seem to like it.
We do wet the ground to keep the humidity up.

Here is a photo at completion. There is also a small window on the west side.

I've been using the same "temperature controlled switch" on my solar heating panels for about 30 years. It turns on when the temperature gets hot. They can directly switch the AC/DC load if you want to use fans.

They cost about $5 with shipping on eBay.

Since I have 10- 50 gallon drums of water in my greenhouse winter and summer it brings the temp down or up 10 degrees depending on the outside temp! It really saves heat in winter and cools in summer!

I'm in Calgary Alberta and I'm leaving both doors and all the vents open now, night and day. My basil and mint seedlings are fine with that.
