Vinyl217's garden

Finally got everything from Spring out and everything for Summer in...planted one last bed of Renegade bush beans this morning. Wound up with 28 tomato plants, 25 pepper plants, 50 square feet of bush beans, and about 200 onions. Garlic is starting to brown off and the scapes of the hardneck varieties will be cut next week when they should have two coils.
Also ended up freezing 5 quart bags of broccoli and still have a fridge full of lettuce and arugula.

And finally beans. Was experimenting with the macro function on my camera and liked the way the sprout pic turned out. Growing Carson Wax, Jade II, and Renegade bush beans this year. Just planted the Renegade this morning, so they should be up in a week or so.

Re: Vinyl217's garden

I'm thinking you meant "kale" in that first picture rather than arugula. That is a delicious looking salad table :D
If you let a plant overwinter and go to seed, you'll have more kale than you'd know what to do with next spring. At this point, I'm hoeing them like weeds, and any least bit unsatisfactory leaf is discarded and used as mulch.

Looks like you are having a blast with your garden. Be careful not to plant them too close or you are going to have a too-dense jungle. Have fun and bountiful harvest.

Re: Vinyl217's garden

I'm jealous. I have some plants growing but literally in the weeds.
Happy gardening in Hawaii. Gardens are where people grow.
