Membership status

WOW! I just noticed that I have moved up from "full member" status to "cool member"........ whatever that means.

I assume that the various rankings of membership (except that of moderator) have to do with how many posts that member has made. Is there a frequency factor too? or just how many? And is there a place on the forum that tells how many posts you have to make to earn a certain ranking?

Just curious....

OK, so I went looking and found this:

https://www.helpfulgardener.com/forum/v ... php?t=7669

Which looks like it was early on. Some of the names have changed, but the characters remain the same?

I have never been firm about the rank names and the thresholds for reaching various levels. Moderator rank is a different kind of community membership, I wouldn't call it a higher level, it's an enhanced membership that gives them a more active role in the community.

OH, by the bye, I just thought:

My proper status right now is COLD member, not cool. It's all the way up to 20 degrees F outside right now, and doesn't feel a whole lot warmer inside. Yes, this is an old drafty house......
