I thought I would be able to attach a picture to this posting so I hope someone is still willing to help. I will email a picture of the plant/tree in question. It isn't doing well and I haven't a clue what it is. Would some super smart person please allow me to send them a picture of my tree to see if you know what it is. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
There is a thread in the bonsai gallery entitled Picture This! Taking Better Bonsai Pictures. Please take a few moments to review it.
Within the body of that thread there is another link that details how to post pictures on this forum.
Its not really that difficult, let us know if you have any difficulty. I assume that this is a potted tree, if so you may want me to move it to the bonsai forum. Even if it is not a bonsai proper, pot culture is pot culture.
Your tree is not a Ficus, Ficus leaves grow in an alternating pattern your tree has a compound leaf. I am almost certain that it is a Schefflera also known as Umbrella Tree.
