What type of cactus is this?

It has 12 rows of ribs with needles. Needle clusters all have 10 needles. Rows are not straight and not continious in some places they appear to have 11 rows of ribs then 12 rows then 13 rows then 12 again. Look at the cactus in the center and the left. The cactus in the pic is about 8 ft tall.
