Poison ivy growing in herb bed

I had poison ivy growing within my oregano and thyme - I cut it out recently.

My question is-can I still eat the herbs if I wash them well? I wanted to use fresh oregano for a pizza but don't want to have everyone get poison ivy all over or in their mouth

thanks!!!

And then probably spray glyphosate on the old bed. I generally do not use poisons in my yard, but I sometimes make an exception for poison ivy since it is so vicious and so hard to get rid of otherwise.

Cutting it down will not even slow it down very much. The soil there will be full of poison ivy roots and it will spring right back.

Thanks all-it's a drag but better safe than sorry

I'll look for that spray-sounds better than pulling out the ivy for sure-and like you wrote-that doesn't work well anyway

Thanks again!

Pulling works better than cutting if the soil is loose, but if you are like me, you would have to be in full haz-mat gear to pull the stuff.
