it's scale. can be a pain to combat. young, mobile (nearly impossible to see) ones are susceptible to soap solutions, but the immobile adults you see are pretty tough, and I just remove them by hand. freezing temps can kill them, but not too many plants (esp. indoor ones like you're dealing with) will like that...there's more info out there, do a search for scale.

Individual young scale(s) can be killed/removed by using a Q-tip (cotton swab) dipped into rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) and dabbing them with it.

It's very labor-intensive, but if you do it as soon as you observe the scale(s)--and I think you've seen them at an early stage--you may kill the vast majority of them. Then stay on the alert, checking every three days or so for new appearances, so that you can repeat the alcohol treatment.

Thank you Cynthia.. will definitely try the alcohol swab technique. I was wondering if I can spray the alcohol, that would be more easy..
Hope that will yield results..

No; do *not* spray the alcohol. Concentrate it on the scale insects.
