Transplanting Lettuce?

I know I know, another lettuce topic! I have no experience with lettuce.

I started my lettuce in rockwool (grodan cubes) and I dumped about 4 seeds in each, figuring not all would survive. Well guess what? In every cube, every seed did good. So now I have 4 lettuces in each cube!

Just as a field test, I "tried" to transplant a few since I have way more than I need anyway.

They are 10-12 days old by the way, same time I transplant my other plants. So I wanted to transplant them into identical rockwool mini cubes, just to get them seperate. Then I'll plug them into bigger cubes. So this will be the only transplant per say.

I just took some sterilized tweezers and grasped them VERY low on the plant and very gently, lifting them out (roots and all, they arent many roots as they are only 12 days old). I then gently pressed them into seperate rockwool cubes.

Is that good? Or is there something else I should be doing?

Thanks!
