Pushing It!

Ok so last year, I put my tomato plants in the garden on the 31st of March in an effort to compete in the June tomato challange.

Wellllllll :? I put tomatoes in the garden on the 17th  and all of the others have been outside in their cups since then.

If we have a frost, I will be screaming and running like a mad woman but welll, I couldnt help it. By the way I am in zone seven.

I am going to put out a quarter of my plants at the end of the month (Zone 5) and will have them in a cold frame/ hoop house setup that I put together. The rest will go in on tax day.

If it gets cold, I have heard of people spraying mist on their plants before bed to limit the frost damage.

Thanks for the tip. The same plants have been outside in a poorly built coldframe since Feb. 15th and the weather is so warm. I just couldn't wait. :D We'll see what happens!
