Finds at Dollar Tree

Well they had seeds out at 4 for $1 so of course I misbehaved. But they also had these....

The top picture is a 24 cell starter tray they had. Not bad for a buck. It is two separate 12-cell trays and each has a water tray with it.

The bottom picture is a 12-cell tray with a dome. Now at a buck a piece this is basically the same price as the 72-cell starters at walmart. But I like the smaller size. Since I rarely plant 72 of the same thing, and different seeds have different germination rates, this will allow me to keep the dome on the ones that haven't germinated yet while taking the cover off of the ones that have. I like it a lot better than the 72-cells. It's a cheaper plastic, but as long as you use reasonable care, it should last plenty of growing seasons.

By the way, the seeds and the cell packs are all made by american seeds.

I think you behaved admirably. You got some starter cells complete with watering trays and domes for a buck. If they only last 1 season, you've got your monies worth. Nice find, and I just may head to the local Dollar Tree to see if they have them in my part of the world.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just went to the dollar tree to get a few things. they have these nice 1$ pruners that work amazing for the price. I buy 5 to make sure I have enough for the rest of the year.

I saw those cell packs.

I bought some nice sized pots the other day at the dollar tree, not sure of the exact size but they were good sized.
