Hi, I'm new here, hence the 30 min account and I got this 2 days ago, but in all my excitement i forgot to ask the lady at the shop what species it was. So I'm hoping you can help me.

Your tree is in the Ficus family - perhaps 'retusa'.
Looks like a nice one. Not too difficult for a newbie.
Learn all you can about it & enjoy !!

thank you for your answer. I haven't watered since i got it, which was sunday and the lady told me i should water it every 2 days. This means today it's gonna get it's first drink in it's new home. She also told me i should soak it in water every week or so. Also, from what you see in the picture, I'm keeping it indoor and i hope it gets enough light in it's current position. Now i know this is probably not the best place on this forum to approach these issues, since it's an identification thread, but I only need to know if what i am doing is right. It will put me at ease. Again, thank you for your help.
