Pansies

Do pansies vine out like patunias?

Nope. Petunias aren't really a vine, but they do spread. Some varieties (like all the "wave" petunias) are very spreading and trailing. The pansies stay in a clump and the clump just gradually gets bigger.

The petunias will keep going all season until fall frost. The pansies are cool weather plants that tend to fizzle when it gets hot. They may make it if they are in a cool, moist shady spot.
