slowing down growth of hedges

can anyone help please - I have a large gargen with numerous box hedges to make it into 'spaces' which looks lovely when all neat and pruned, but, it takes a lot of time and as I'm in the beginnings of arthritis this is getting quite hard - does anyone know of any product spray like cutless that they banned, which will slow the growth?

thanks :)

I don't know of anything like that - and likely it would be harmful to the plants or environment.

Do you clip by hand, or do you use a hedge trimmer? Some of them are pretty light, might not be too hard on the arthritis. Just watch the cord! (my hubby did this once, and so did a few of our neighbors - seems to be a common problem)
