shapeing a bonsai pine

Well I just received a two needle pine sapling? It is just less than 11 inch and my question is how to choose the shape of tree do I make it grow how I want? It starts in the center of the pot going straight, then about half way it goes to a north east angle with a single stem. And has seven other branches from tiny, small and mid sized before it takes the angle to the north east, thanks to all for the help. Maybe I can cascade it!

dakine2250,

More than likely the main trunk that is present now will not be part of the finished design. One of the low branches will become the new leader in time. Leave the current leader in place to thicken the trunk while doing your best to retain the lower branches. It is these low branches that are the key to Pine development.
