What is considered full sun

Hi
I have had an aloe vera for a year or two and kept it by a window that didn't get much light at all. Most of the light that it did get was simply reflected off of the ground. Anyway I found a place in a new window that gets direct light. I read that aloe vera like sun but not direct sun. So my question is if the sun goes through a window than will my aloe vera get burnt? Because technically its not "direct sun".
Thanks!

Aloe's like full sun, which is 6 -8 hrs a day of direct sun. Direct sun coming through glass still counts.

However, your plant is no longer used to that, so you might need to let it adapt a little bit gradually.
