Broken Palm branches, do they heal?

I have a palm house plant. I just recently moved it outside for the day, and while being out there it got wind damage. The branch bent in half and now its just hanging on a limb. If I put a splint on it to keep it together, will it eventually heal?

You can try it. It depends on how much has been damaged in the feeding structure of the stem and leaf inside. Don't count on it, but what have you got to lose by trying it?
