need help with my ficuses pot

I just bought a ficus gensing. It is in a pot that is tall more like a cascade pot,but I don't want it to be in that style.Does any one think I sould transplant it in a diferent pot or let it grow in the same one until next sping. The pot is about 8 inches tall.square, and about 6inches wide.my tree is about 7 inches tall and about 5 inches wide with a curved trunk. It don't look right to me.So if anyone could tell me if that is the wrong pot or have any advice on which pot I should use I would be thankful

The new pot should compliment the shape and style of the bonsai (pictures will help). I think it is a good idea to repot it now.
