Not sure if this compost is usable

I am so glad I found this forum!

I started composting (raw and cooked veggies, fruit, bread, cardboard and paper mostly.) in a tumbler last year and had a terrible time managing the balance- more than just being mushy there were puddles in the bin. At the end of the fall I was adding a lot of sawdust to try and correct the problem. It sat buried under feet of snow all winter.

I dumped it yesterday (it stunk like mad), and today it is miles drier. It contains big (softball sized) clumps that look like manure. I am trying to figure out if I should just scrap what I have and start from scratch or if this material is usable.

Planning on container vegetable gardens and flower beds.

Keep it going; Nature reclaims all eventually. Just make sure to mix sawdust with veggies and greens to keep it airy and turn often. It will come back...
