When is the best time to replant a hydrangea

I have a HUGE hydrangea in my garden that has flourished well over 3 years. It gets full sun in the afternoons.

It is fast running out of space to spread which at present is 5ft. I don't want to prune it back as it has done fantastically well. I am thinking of moving it to the front garden which gets full sun in the mornings.

Is it advisable to move my hydrangea and if so, when should I do this and what care should I Give it. I have never fed it in the 3 years I have had it, I'm not green fingered, but this is my pride and joy!

Yes you can do it, and fall is the best time! Wait for the leaves to drop and take as much soil as you can comfortably move with the ball. Pre dig that hole it's going into, and when it's in then water VERY well. Won't even know it was out of the ground...
