I Just Won a Writing Contest!

I'm really quite proud of myself. Its not garden related, which is why I'm bragging here. Here's the link. I'm the article right after the contest rules, The Children of Toana:

Congratulations! I can't get the link to come up; it's very very v-e-r-y sloooooow.

But, based on your non-fiction piece, "I drink my cup of coffee. There will be only one. There is serious work..." your writing is first-rate!

Maybe so many people are hitting on the site its clogged up! Do me a favor, keep trying.

While I'm here self-promoting, I should mention "Ambush In The Ice Plant":

I just finished reading both installments of the Iceplant and the one recommended by cynthia. Excellent! I really enjoyed them all. You are very talented, David.

Cynthia, knowing your history with the slimy marauders, I just have to say no wonder you picked that one! ... and after my own experiences with them, I salute you, David. Wish *I* could keep chickens. Sounds like the ideal and most satisfying way to finish the daily hunt.

I'll try to read the contest winner too. :)

The "chicken" essay was shown here at THG in full, but I think the author has rescinded it in favor of the link. I didn't hunt it down  at authorsden; *that,* I found via our new and improved Search function! :D

Thanks for reading my stuff, guys. I am flattered by your kind words. If only I could get a gig writing (That paid enough) *sigh*, I'd be in heaven.

There'd also be more time for the garden, I would think.
