Border grass

On my front walkway, I have some type of border grass (maybe I can post a picture later). It is green and white/yellowish striped. It blooms white flowers in the spring.

Anyways, they have grown a little large and hang over too much on my walkway. Is there a way to trim them down a bit? Thanks!

Sounds like Aztec grass.
If they are looking spindly, mow over them in the spring. They'll bounce back and look spectacular.

If they are just tooooo big (wide), dig them up and divide them. I've used a sharp knife, but have seen other people just rip them with no ill effects. Aztec grass is pretty hardy stuff. You can even put the divisions in a bucket 1/4 filled with water. They last pretty good for about a week so you can either replant them elsewhere, or hand them over to neighbors.

I think Lirope has purple flowers - but Aztec has white. They don't bloom often tho, I think the conditions have to be right. At least, mine didn't bloom much in FL.

Now I'm confused :?

The listing I got when searching the name Aztec grass was all Liriope. Is it not Liriope? Is it a white flowered form? (Did not seem to be the case)...

:?
