Can I post a picture here?

I have an insect killing my mum plants. I have spent hours looking for a picture of this little rust colored beetle, on the internet. Also new here and thanks for any help you can give.

Maybe you could suggest another location for insect identification. Diane

Yes, by all means, post pictures of the beetle. :)

If all you see are letters and numbers then sorry, I am new at this and don't know if it will work.

Yea, it worked. Now I will try to take a better picture and put it on. This little bug really travels fast.

Unless it's really tiny -- I can't determine the size from the pic -- I would say it looks like a Japanese beetle.

-- I was trying to post on here all day yesterday. This is a popular place.

I know the picture looks like a Japanese beetle, but it is much smaller, totally oval and with no green whatsoever.

I have had extensive experience dealing with the Japanese beetle and unless they start out as babies as described above it is something else.

I am going to attempt to take a better picture. thanks

Apparently, the server was down yesterday. I wasn't able to log on, either, and that's the message my computer kept giving me. Frustrating!

I look forward to seeing the new picture of the little beastie. :)

I saw about 20 of those little things inside of my aunt's house when I went to visit. They weren't really fast moving though. They were clumsy beetles :P They WERE rust colored though and weren't relatively small. She lives almost in the desert and doesn't grow anything other than a huge palm tree next to the house. I can't remember what they're called though...
