The occasional aphid

I see the occasional aphid around my garden. I spotted a ladybug the other day... should I be worried? and should I purchase some of those cute lil ladies? If there are just a few aphids does that mean a lot more will come around?

Yup... you need the occasional aphid to keep the lady bugs happy. If lady bugs don't find anything to eat, they will leave. Don't buy lady bugs unless you have a big aphid infestation to deal with. Otherwise the natural system will take care of itself. Anyway the ones you buy often aren't native species and then they can become invasive too...
