Whats wrong with these trees?

They were getting more and more droopy but recently the smaller trees have perked up but out largest is getting worse and worse. Any suggestions for what is wrong or if there is anything I can do to help it?

Not so much my area of expertise, but I have seen evergreens look like that when they are drought stressed. Have you been in drought lately? I recently heard from some one in Minnesota that they had no rain at all this spring (I think we further south got it all).

If so, what you need to do is put the garden hose on trickle and let it trickle in different spots around the tree at drip line for like 48 hours. You need the water to soak well down into the soil.

Nope we`ve been drowned rats all spring (my veggies are loving it!) and the trees are actually in a fairly wet part of the backyard. Drought is what most people have suggested to me but they were just as bad last year when I think we had 3 or 4 days all summer with out any rain at all (it was VERY wet).

There are quite a few trees there in a row, could they be crowded?
But then wouldn`t the littlest ones suffer?
They seem to be doing the best now.
