protecting strawberries

I am trying to find a simple way to protect my strawberries. I think I have seen a product that fits around each plant and keeps the strawberries off the ground and away frome the pill bugs. I'm I crazy or does something like that exist? If so, where, and what is it called? Thanks for any imput. dlynnmonty

I wouldn't worry about pill bugsso much; they only eat decomposing stuff...

I think you are worried about slugs or snails. I have used iron phosphate to good effect on slugs; Sluggo is a brand name I know and trust... aww, look it takes out the pillbugs too...

Just putting them on straw and keeping them above the soil is often enough to discourage issues...

1% active ingredient, 99% unnamed "inert" ingredients...

Yea, the law on inerts is inane... List the ingredients or don't... still I think a lot of the inerts in Sluggo are vegetive from what I could see... have to choose your poisons...
