Ragged looking leaves

Hello Everyone,
My tomatoe plants are about 45 days old and are growing ok and are blooming one even has a tomatoe the size of a pea, problem is the leaves about half the size they should be and are ragged looking, new growth in the center is curling.......any ideas

without pics...would be hard to diagnose a problem...
Also the species of the plant would be helpful..
Sometimes tomato plants leaves will curl to conserve energy.

Just a guess, but maybe too much fertilizer. If thats the case and the plant doesnt die it wiill look better in a couple weeks.
