Scott - I found something very pretty today

:o :) I was cleaning around a wild azalea at the top of the bank I am preparing for shrubs. There was this rock completely covered in moss and a fern growing on top of it. I was so tempted to take it for my rock garden but decided it would be happier where it is. And in the corner of one of my flower beds, where I stacked rocks (this is a most rocky place here) I discovered a patch of the "shag-carpet "moss growing around the rocks and up over them. It is very pretty, I have to admit.

Ah Sara, just you wait. Mosses are at their best this time of year, but when I like them in the garden is winter when they're one of the few green things around...

Thanks to you, I have become quite interested in moss. I've been reading some about transplanting, like to the garden, stumps, rocks, etc. My environment provides plenty of moss. I may not see it in Winter, especially if this wet trend continues. Often I don't see the ground for 4 months!

 :o Uh-huh! My "leaf blower" is a rake!! I don't need it too much since we had to take down our big maples! For snow -- the shovel and plow.
