Wilting Tomato Plant - No clue what happened.

I have no clue what happened here maybe I need to take her out of her pot and plant her any help please. I have 3 tomatoes on her vines and don't want to lose them

I'm not sure it's the reason for the wilting, but I think the plant definitely needs a much larger pot, if it's going to grow and produce fruit for you. My plant isn't nearly as large as yours, but it's in a 14-inch pot. [img]https://bestsmileys.com/clueless/4.gif[/img]

We might be putting it in the ground this coming weekend How much sun do ya think it will need.

I would put it in a place where it will get full sun for at least 6 hours a day. I'm not all that experienced at growing tomatoes. I just grow one or two plants each summer for myself, since my kids have grown up and moved away. I just kinda know the basics, I guess.

She has been in the ground now over 30 hrs do you all think she will make it Suppose to be 89 degress on Monday and yes she was root bound BAD...

Oh poor baby. Did you give her a shot of food when you transplanted her? Did you break up her roots a wee bit too?

I'd keep watering her with a wee bit of food added for a few days A LOT.

I hope she makes it!

I gave her food and I tried to break the roots up but not much luck. I had no clue she was like this I got her for mother's day and I wanted to wait a month to plant her but I guess that had to be sooner then planned.

I did this just now and I found she has 5 tomatoes on her. do you think they will make it if so how long from now that way I can really baby her Poor thing was a mess now she doesn't look to bad.

Now that you've tidied her up, she looks reasonably well. I think you should just proceed with standard care. I'm pretty sure she'll pull through, as long as you're able to avoid stressing her any further.

I hope she stays going I will go look in a few hrs how she is holding up. How long do you think it will take before I get a ediable tomato off her nice jice red one YUMMY...

I have another tomato plant that has nothing on her and yet she is beautiful looking.

Your tomato plant looks just like mine. There is a little yellow discoloration uneven through the plant, in addition to the wilting tops. Can't seem to find anything substantial by way of advice. Most discussion threads suggest watering, trimming the dead leaves, and food. Still looking for the explanation though ... causes, remedies, what to do next time.

Yep Yep and all 3 tomato plants are great Father plant you all havent see is wonderful; Little sister now has 1 fruit on her and baby she is still holdiing well to her 5 tomatoes and they are turning yellow. SHe has really greened up well.
