Dappled Willow Tree

I purchased a Dappled Willow Tree that came as a whip. I planted it in my backyard about 4 weeks ago. We do not believe that it is dead. We are just wondering how long until we see actual growth on the tree. Right now it is just a stick in my backyard.

What makes you believe it is not dead? If you are in Florida, this thing should be growing already...

We did the scratch test on the trunk of the tree & it's not dry or brittle. I also contacted the website I ordred it from. They said it should take about 6 weeks to bring it back from it's dormant state. If we don't see any progress in about 3 more weeks I will start to worry. This is the first one we have ever bought. It looks beautiful & it is also the first tree we have tried to grow from a whip.
