Dappled Willow Tree

I purchased a Dappled Willow Tree that came as a whip. I planted it in my backyard about 4 weeks ago. We do not believe that it is dead. We are just wondering how long until we see actual growth on the tree. Right now it is just a stick in my backyard. :?

What makes you believe it is not dead? If you are in Florida, this thing should be growing already...

We did the scratch test on the trunk of the tree & it's not dry or brittle. I also contacted the website I ordred it from. They said it should take about 6 weeks to bring it back from it's dormant state. If we don't see any progress in about 3 more weeks I will start to worry. This is the first one we have ever bought. It looks beautiful & it is also the first tree we have tried to grow from a whip.

Nice plant...good luck with it. Give a yell if it doesn't bounce back...
