Last year I had two bushy, healthy lavenders. Each started dying (drying) from the inside out until they were dead. Now another one is exhibiting the
same symptom. There was always enough watering. Any help on how to stop this sad situation?
Thanks!

I have lavender in northern California, too. How old are your lavender plants?
One of mine is 10 or so years old, and the references I've looked up tell me that I can expect this plant to die back any time now, that 8 to 10 years is the normal life expectancy for a single lavender plant.
Are yours mature, or are they young lavender plants?
