bird problem on strawberry baskets!

I was curious as to what I can use to keep birds away from my strawberry baskets. every time I get a new red berry they eat it.

I was wondering if it would be okay if I put a plastic grocery bag over the top of them. I know it would be like a green house type keeping moisture inside the bag so I don't really have to water it as often. plus the sun can still get inside since the bag is see through.

would this be alright?

Any kind of solid barrier would prevent pollinating insects like bees from reaching the flowers. Also it can get too hot inside the bag.
You can buy "bird netting" at garden centers. Usually black plastic netting with 3/4"~1" opening. You'll need to rig a frame so that the netting hangs away from the berries.
