I Called it Sour Grass As a Kid. What is it REALLY Called?

Hi everybody. I mainly wanted to join because I'm on a gardening related quest.

I'm trying to find out more about a plant that I like. The only thing I know about it is what I called it as a kid, sour grass. I love to chew it, but I can't just go around picking it off of the side of the sidewalk because who knows what gets on it, so I want to plant my own.

If anybody knows what the real name of it is, and how I can get the dips at home depot to know what I'm talking about, or where I can go to find it in a store, or how to plant it, that would be awsome!

Heck, has anybody else ever enjoyed this natural tasty sour treat?

Welcome from MI. You may want to re-post that question in one of the appropriate forums, or the "what doesn't fit elsewhere" forum--it'll get more of the proper attention there.

I answered this question myself just a couple of days ago. Maybe you lost the location where you asked it?

I don't know where you're located, but if you're anywhere near me, you can come over with a shovel and dig it up, take it to your place, and ENJOY! It grows very well around here...
