Hi JenBrett. Looks like a gorgeous shrub. 
There's only a thumbnail picture in my RHS A - Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants, (1998 edn. ISBN 0-7513-0303-8) but on page 522 it looks as if it could be Hibiscus Syriacus 'Red Heart'.

The other one looks to me more like Lantana. It's often called a Florida and Georgia native (not sure about other southern states) but is actually an invasive exotic species. I often pulled it as a weed!
But it would grow well with Hibscus.

Also part of the verbena family, if I remember correctly.
There are solid yellow ones here that seem to be a favorite, my dad and many other folks in FL like the varigated foliage. My dad has actually planted his yard full of these.
But it would grow well with Hibscus.

Thanks Grey I agree, from my font of all things green it could be Lantana camara 'Radiation' or 'Tangerine'
I'm going to add that to the list for possible 'butterfly' plants. Would have to grow it as an annual here though as frost can get down to 6 inches in the soil if we have a really hard winter. It's listed as full sun and frost tender so I can see it would do well in Spain.
