Walled Wet Garden (help please)

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I have a beautiful 15ft walled garden however living in Staffordshire the soil is very heavy clay and wet.

The wall isn't south facing but it does get the sun for a few hours a day. I would like to grow climbers with lots of colours and possibly some fruit trees up the wall.

Have you any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

Joanne

The only solution to heavy wet clay soil is to ammend ammend ammend! That means tons of organic material and lots of tilling. Aka hard work! You could probably get around doing the whole thing by just ammending the planting hole--but it depends on what you're growing. Good luck!
