Wind swept trees.

Along with planting wildflowers along the waterway in NJ.
The trees that are presently here never do well due
to the ocean and lake breezes. Township planted
willows and cherry trees. All of which are bent and
in bad shape. If replaced what type of trees do
well in sandy soil in these harse wind conditions.

You might want to check with a local nursery but you would need something that stays short. Pines look great contorted.
