Help!!

I'm new at heirloom gardening and I'm having a disease problem, started on one tomato and spread to others and my peppers and cucumbers! I cant find anything online and what I want to know is first is it okay to eat the fruits and second can I save the seeds? The fruits look fine the stems are tuning completley black and blistering and bubbling and the leaves are rapidly dying.

Thank you in advance for any advise.

Can you post a picture? It's impossible to know exactly what's going on without an image.

Are these plants in containers or in the ground?

In what kind of soil?

How are they watered?

How much sun do they get?

How are they fed (e.g., commercial fertilizer, compost...)?

Plus pictures, if possible, or links to similar pictures on the Internet.
