Can someone please help identify this vine?

There is a vine is growing on the front of my mother's house - she passed away and I don't know if she planted it, or if it is poison ivy. Could someone please help? I have several photos.

Could you post the photos? Just click on Img when you reply, put in the URL of where it's uploaded (it's free at places like uploadit.org and photobucket), click on the Img button again and your picture will appear.

Hard to identify a plant just by describing it.
Here are photos of poison ivy:

It could be a variety of Virginia Creeper - are the leaves in clusters of 5, attach by tendrils and does the vine turn a vivid red orange color in fall? Go to google, click on images link and type in Virginia Creeper. Clicking on an image will enlarge it.

Yep, that's the old faithful Virginia Creeper alright. makes an excellent cover for bare walls and old stumps and etc. Birds love the berries. Just enjoy.
